What is Pokémon 151?
Pokémon 151 is the Korean release of sv2a, originally released in Korea on July 28, 2023.
Unlike most Pokémon sets that mix together creatures from many different generations, Pokémon 151 focuses exclusively on the original 151 Kanto Pokémon. Every card follows Pokédex order, beginning with #001 Bulbasaur and ending with #151 Mew.
It's essentially a giant love letter to Generation 1, like flipping through a Kanto childhood scrapbook.
Why are Korean packs different?
One of the reasons collectors adore Korean Pokémon cards is that they feel a little different from their English counterparts.
Korean Pokémon 151 packs contain 7 cards per pack, compared to the 10 cards found in English packs. A booster box contains 20 packs, making for a super satisfying rip session.
The cards are printed on thinner Japanese-style card stock, which gives them a slightly different feel in hand. Many collectors also love how crisp and vibrant the holo patterns look, especially on the Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares.
