You have four real options for buying Korean and Chinese Pokemon cards in the US: a US specialty shop that imports sealed product (like us), marketplace listings on eBay or Amazon, an overseas shop or proxy service that ships from Korea or China, or in-person at conventions and card shows. The safest buys share three things: factory-sealed product with real photos, verified reviews from other collectors, and a written return policy. Is it safe to buy Korean Pokemon cards on eBay?
It can be, with homework. The risks are resealed packs (opened, hit removed, glued shut), weighed packs (the seller keeps the heavier packs that hold holo cards), and loose packs pulled from boxes and sold individually at a markup. Korean and Chinese product has one extra wrinkle: some Korean booster boxes leave the factory without shrink wrap, which is normal for that market, so "no shrink wrap" alone is not proof of tampering. What to check before you pay: the seller's feedback on sealed TCG specifically, photos of the actual item rather than stock images, the pack crimp (factory crimps are even and clean), and a price that makes sense. A Korean booster box listed far below what every shop charges is a reason to keep scrolling, not a deal. Also ignore any listing that promises a Secret Rare per Korean box: Korean boxes do not guarantee one.
How long does shipping take from Korea or China compared to a US shop?
Ordering direct from Korea or China usually means 1 to 4 weeks door to door, longer if customs holds the parcel, plus international postage on top of the sticker price. A US shop that already imported the product ships domestically: our orders leave North Carolina and arrive in 4 to 5 days with tracking, and shipping is free on orders over $60. The trade-off is honest: overseas exporters win on raw box price for case buyers, and a US shop wins on speed, returns, and not having to think about customs forms.
How do I know a US shop selling Korean cards is legit?
Run this checklist before you buy from any small shop, ours included:
- Verified reviews from real buyers, ideally with photos of what arrived. We collect ours through Judge.me on every product page.
- Photos of the actual sealed product, not renders. Look for the box seal and the pack crimp.
- A written return policy that covers sealed items. Ours is 14 days on sealed, unopened product.

- Prices that follow the market. Korean sets launch cheap and climb as the print run ages: the Korean Pokemon 151 boxes we stocked in February 2026 cost about 2.3x more to replace by July 2026. A shop selling aged sets at launch prices is either sitting on old stock (great) or selling something that is not what it says (not great). Ask.

If you play at sanctioned events, buy English: Korean and Simplified Chinese are not on Play! Pokemon's approved-language list for North America.
